March
While I had a lot of work to do in March, I also found out I do way more productive work when I’m with Justin. So….as any sane person does…I drove 13 hours in less than 24 hours to ensure I could maximize my time with him! There aren’t many cute dates or photos to attach to this post, but our less busy weeks together are usually my favorites anyway.
I drove to see him on February 26, with the premise of mostly having a week of us doing a good bit of homework but being able to have the nights together. During the weeks, he’d go to class and doctor’s appointments while I stayed back and worked on my homework and side projects. After that week, I drove back for a day to go to class on Monday and drove straight back to see him right after class.
Also, we found a new addiction to playing Wingspan to go to sleep, to wake up, to pass the time…basically, any amount of free time not spent on a romance show was spent playing a game of Wingspan and collecting all the birds.
Once I got back, we spent what felt like 2 hours trying to find a Chinese restaurant to eat at. Turns out, almost every Chinese restaurant is closed on Mondays! But we found a cozy Persian restaurant that ended up being really good - especially after all of that driving.
After watching a video comparing expensive versus cheap canned fish, we decided to do a last-minute canned fish charcuterie. It seemed a little outlandish at first, but it turned out to be pretty good with the vegetables we had. Although I would’ve added a lighter fish like salmon maybe to lighten up the meal since it was fairly salty and intense.
At the end of that week, I found an event for chocolate, wine, and whiskey tastings. it turned out to be fun, but not the vibe we were expecting from the photos. But we got some ice cream and walked around a bit before we headed home and I got ready to leave in a few days.
